Our Mission Statement

As a Christian Nursery we believe that every person is a much loved child of God and our nursery’s Christian ethos underpins all our values:
  • We believe that all children are equal and individual regardless of background, education, race, colour or creed.
  • We believe that all children have the right not only to learn corporately, but also individually.
  • We believe that each child has the right to be loved and accepted for who they are regardless of how others feel they should be.
  • We accept the task of training, caring, loving, educating and teaching social skills.
  • We believe that our staff should consist of people who have a commitment to the well-being and care of children.

The Manna House Day Nursery was established in May 1994 and has occupied its present purpose-built premises since November 2003. It has been long recognised as one of Tamworth’s leading childcare providers.

Formerly known as the Elim Church Day Nursery, the nursery changed its name on the formation of the Manna House charity in 2002. The charity, initiated by the Elim Church, runs a number of social and community projects in Tamworth, including the Tamworth Foodbank.

We continue to enjoy a close working relationship with the church and use their great facilities regularly throughout the year. (For more information you can visit the church website by clicking here)

Located on Bamford Street, Glascote the building is designed to a high specification for the safety and enjoyment of the children and staff. The Nursery has a number of rooms which are individually equipped for different age groups, in line with the Department of Education, OFSTED and Early Years Guidelines.
