Parent Partnership

At Manna House Day Nursery we believe that parents and staff need to work together in a close partnership in order for children to receive the quality of care and early learning to meet their individual needs.

We welcome parents as partners and support a two-way sharing of information that helps establish trust and understanding. We are committed to supporting parents in an open and sensitive manner to include them as an integral part of the care and early learning team within the nursery.

The nursery uses a computerised administration system called Parenta which records all of the children’s family, contact and attendance details together with the fee details. Parents are free to read the details of the records for their child on request.

In addition, staff use tablet computers throughout the day in each of the rooms to record details of the children’s activities and achievements. The use of this technology enables the staff to maintain essential records of progress in accordance with the EYFS Framework whilst maximising contact time with the children in each room.

Regular emails are sent to parents informing them of up-and-coming events taking place at the nursery. Key workers also send photos via the Parenta system on a regular basis.

Parents' Evenings are held a couple of time a year, where more in-depth information can be shared regarding your child's progress and development. If you have any concerns about your child you can contact the nursery at any time and arrange an appointment to speak face-to-face.
